Barber Wilsons fittings are made to comply with BS1010 and BS5412. Many of our fittings are sent for testing to the WRc Evaluation & Testing Centre and, therefore, comply with the requirements of the current water byelaws.
In order to comply with the water byelaws, all fittings incorporating hand held showers have backflow prevention devices fitted. Sink mixers with single flow nozzles have listed single check valves fitted upstream of both hot and cold water inlets.
All finishes are electroplated to the following British Standards: Chrome to BS1224, Inca to BS4292.

Guarantee
We will make good, free of charge, by repair or at our option by replacement, any defective goods becoming evident within a period of 12 months of purchase and arising from defects which are attributable to us as manufacturers. We cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred in correcting installation-related faults, and problems with electroplated and polished finishes when our cleaning instructions are not adhered to
Cleaning
We recommend that all inca, nickel and chrome finishes are cleaned as follows:
After use rinse clean and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use cream or chemical cleaners. By following this procedure, limescale should not form, any problems of this nature, however, should be referred to the suppliers.
We also supply fittings in natural polished brass. This is not lacquered or electroplated and will tarnish naturally. To maintain the polished finish metal polish should be used.
